Funding of $40,000 for the ongoing commitment to the continued growth and function of the CarePoint at Centro de Alcance in Guatemala, where orphaned and vulnerable children receive nutritional and educational support, as well as regular discipleship. Through the CarePoint, connections are made with the community families to help stabilize the families and the community.

Funding of $40,000 for the first year of partnership with Path of Life High School, an expansion of the Tree of Life School in the Edison neighborhood. Path of Life High School is a Christ-centered education that anyone can afford. Families pay only 5% of their income for the whole family. This is imperative, as the school is located in the largest and poorest neighborhood in Kalamazoo County.
Based on the global model of Big Picture Learning. POLHS students will spend two days a week at a local internship of their choosing. The rest of the week will be guided by the student’s Advisor developing significant interest and work-based projects. |
